This afternoon, we have been looking at Evolution. We had a talk about inheritance and reminded ourselves of our learning from last week. Then, we focused on adaptation. We looked at matching animals to their habitats and discussed how they have adapted to suit their environment. Finally, we had a go at designing our own 'creatures' which were perfectly adapted to the habitats we had chosen. For example, a cactus has adapted to the desert by having spines instead of leaves which reduces the amount of water that can evaporate.
In this very busy term, we have still found time to enjoy working on the laptops! We've learnt how to create graphs and pie charts from the data we have collected - turns out Thames' favourite fruit is strawberries!
