Children accessing specialist teaching and a wide range of clubs after school. The profile of girls sport is raised.

 

 

Competitive sport taking place promoting the value of sport.

 

 

 

 Pupils are aware of sporting activities and achievements across the school.  

Specialist Sports Assistants are employed to lead curriculum sessions and also offer clubs 4 evenings per week.

 

Regular inter house competitions take place involving all pupils in Key stage 2 and are highly valued.

 

 Sports noticeboard regularly updated and all teams recognized in assemblies and their achievements celebrated.

School newsletter carries regular sporting section.

Profile of Boccia raised in school with extra lunchtime club and attendance at local festivals.

 

Sports coach employed to offer clubs 4 evenings per week offering sports that are not usually covered at Barnby Road.

 

HT & Head of Lower school to meet with yoga instructor & continue a lower school timetable of yoga throughout the year for all year groups.
