On Saturday 3 children from Barnby Road represented Newark and Sherwood District at the Nottinghamshire Schools X -Country Championships.
They ran superbly on a very demanding course and were a credit to Newark and our school. The course was twice as far as they are used to running in local competitions. The results were great:
Girls: 70 entrants- Ebony Smith 6th and Newark and Sherwood's first girl home. Fantastic!
Boys 75 entrants- Gabriel Jenkins 18th and Oliver Clarke 30th. Gabriel was the first Newark and Sherwood boy home and Oliver the third Newark and Sherwood boy home.
We are massively proud of all three!
