Welcome to the Autumn Term in Year 5!
This term, we will be studying Victorians. We will focus on and explore our local area, where we hope to discover lots of facts about the Victorian period. Whilst on a Victorian trail around Newark, we will also visit the Town Hall Art Gallery to inform our art practice on William Morris (textile art) and LS Lowry. We will also visit the workhouse in Southwell, before enjoying an exciting experience of a Victorian Christmas at Newstead Abbey.
In DT, we will be designing and creating our own pencil cases, showcasing our sewing skills.
We will be reading the text, 'Street Child', as our class story.
Visit this page to see photos and work we have been doing in class and on our visits.
