‘Where everyone is able to achieve their best’

Autumn Term

This term our first topic is "Habitats".

We will be learnng about the different habitats around school, and what might live there. Later on we focus on woodland in readiness for our visit to Sherwood Forest. We also include some science work on food chains.

Our second topic is called "Under Siege".

This will focus on the part that the town of Newark played in the Civil War, and how the people of Newark survived the dramatic sieges during the war. We have close links with the National Civil War Centre during this topic: we hope they will be able to visit our school bringing real artefacts, and we visit the centre and tour the town and castle to find out more.
