Reading:

Throughout this week the children will be reading the blue book ‘King of the Birds’ and completing some tasks like we do in school. These will be spread out and we will revisit different parts of the book on different days.  You can open the book using the document at the bottom of the page.

Today’s tasks with the book are:

• Child to read the book for one last time (pages 9-15). They should be able to read the books fluently with expression today.

Extra task- 

Why not see if you can tick off any stars on your world book day competition? Where will you read today? What will you choose to read?

Writing:

Watch the video with Miss Woolridge who will introduce a hold a sentence task linked to the story. Your child will need paper and a pencil. Ideally this would be lined paper/exercise books, or paper that you have drawn some lines on so that children can practise their handwriting and where letters sit on the line.
