If you are in receipt of certain benefits, and are eligible for Free School Meals, we can now provide every eligible child with a weekly shopping voucher worth £15 to spend at participating supermarkets while schools are closed due to coronavirus. Please note that this is separate from the Universal Free School Meals that all children in YR-Y2 receive and these vouchers are only available for those in receipt of certain benefits who qualify for Free School Meals.

We would like to say a big well done to the children for all of their hard work at home over the last two weeks. The staff have loved keeping in touch with them through Tapestry, or through the Purple Mash blogs!
We will not be setting learning tasks for the children over the Easter holidays. However, if you would like a few things to keep them busy, why not see if they can complete our Easter bingo activities? See how many they can cross off over the holidays. We would love to see what they are getting up to; please share photos of their creations on our Facebook page!
We have updated our 'online learning' page to make it easier to access lots of different home learning, in a range of subjects. We hope you find it useful!
Read, Write, Inc. are releasing daily phonics videos for children to practise their sound knowledge. They have also released lots of other resources on the Oxford Owl website e.g. free e-books, speed sound practice sheets, speedy green word slideshows and ditty sheets.
Please use the following as a general guide as to which resources will be most useful for your child:
Reception:
-Set 1 and 2 speed sound video lessons
-Set 1 and 2 speed sound practice sheets
-Ditty sheets
-Speedy green slideshows for red, green and purple storybooks
-RWI e-books - red, green and purple stories.
Year 1 (and Year 2 children still accessing RWI):
-Set 2 and 3 speed sound video lessons
-Set 2 and 3 speed sound practice sheets
-Speedy green word slideshows for pink, orange, yellow, blue and grey storybooks
-RWI e-books - pink, orange, yellow, blue and grey storybooks (your child should be able to tell you their RWI group colour)
These all follow the scheme we use in school and the children will be familiar with these resources. We highly recommend using these at home whilst school is closed to continue the children's phonic learning.

From Monday 23rd March, Read, Write Inc. will be releasing daily phonics lessons on their Facebook page and YouTube channel for children to watch and learn at home. This is the programme we use in school and is the best way to continue your child's phonic learning at home. A new film will be added each weekday and will be available for 24 hours:
Speed Sounds Set 1 - 9.30am (Suitable for YR)
Speed Sounds Set 2 - 10.00am (Suitable for YR and Y1)
Speed Sounds Set 3 - 10.30am (Suitable for Y1 and Y2 children who are still learning through RWI)
There will also be a film of a teacher reading a poem for YR and Y1 at 2.00pm. Your child can enjoy watching, and joining in with, these poems over and over again. Why not learn them by heart!
