Emily Fleming - Co-opted Governor
I was educated in Southwell where I lived before attending university in Colchester to study Language and Linguistics, and Loughborough where I completed my Masters. I moved back to live in Newark some 20 years ago and have lived in Newark and worked in the East Midlands region since then. I have 2 children, both whom attended the school. Outside of family, I work for a Global Environmental Consultancy where I specialise in governance, safety and quality management. I have worked for a variety of organisation types within this area. I worked with local NHS organisations over a number of years, and I have also worked extensively in the industrial utilities sector and construction, looking after quality, safety and environmental management. I have also worked with smaller organisations locally to achieve or maintain standards and accreditations to help their business. I have skills in risk management, internal and external audit and strategy development. I recently became a Trustee at the Nova Education Trust which will expand my education sector knowledge and experience.
