Brazilian beats & Samba sounds
The school was rocking yesterday afternoon to the beat of samba drums. Year 6 had an amazing 'Brazil Day' spending the morning making 'Day of the Dead' and carnival masks (pictures coming soon to class pages), followed by an afternoon of Capoeira (Brazilian marshal art & dancing combination) and samba drumming. I don't think anyone knew quite how much noise we could make, but if they were in any doubt they will know now! Sessions were led by Kay Cowling, head of dance at The Magnus, and Adam from the Nottingham School of Samba. Pictures can be seen on the year 6 pages. We can't wait till next year!
