    Thank you for all of the donations for Newark Foodbank this week. It has been lovely to see the children so passionate about passing on our thanks for food to others in need.
  • Choir Dates

    A few dates for your diaries:

    Sunday November 24th (Time to be confirmed) all choirs to sing at switching on of Christmas lights celebration in the town square.

    Friday December 6th (from 3:00pm) all choirs to sing at school Christmas fair.

    Thursday December 12th 11:00am (during school) Chamber choir to sing at Beaumond House.

    Friday December 13th 7:30pm Chamber Choir to sing at Children's bereavement service.

    Sunday December 15th (time to be confirmed) all choirs to sing at Charles Street Methodist Church carol concert.

    Thursday December 19th (during school time) Senior choir from Years 5&6 to sing at Newark hospital.

    Friday December 20th 10:00am all choirs to perform during school Christmas celebration.

    Children will receive letters about the events they are involved in nearer the time. Thank you for your support with these events.

    The Senior choir recorded 'Just be you' this morning and were praised for their amazing singing and excellent behaviour by the team that came in to record. This will be available to download from the school website in a few weeks time.
  • Girls' Football Autumn Champions!

    An incredible 2 - 1 win against  Southwell-based Lowes Wong in the final of the Newark Schools' Girls' football tournament resulted in Barnby girls being crowned champions. A series of skillful, determined and battling performances saw them fight off tough competition at John Hunt Primary this afternoon. As winners, they now go off to represent Newark and District in the Nottinghamshire County Finals on 9th November. Go Barnby girls!

  • Harvest festival donations for Newark foodbank

    Today in assembly we celebrated Harvest Festival by launching a collection for Newark foodbank. We talked about appreciating the food we have and passing this appreciation on to others in need. We will be collecting donations in the spare classroom throughout next week. Please see the attached list of the type of items they are in need of (no fresh food please).
