  • Happy Summer holidays and Learning Opportunities

    Fri 17 Jul 2020

What a year! We've missed each and every one of our children and it has been lovely seeing some of them in school since June. But, we are really looking forward to seeing everyone back in September and being back to our one big, happy Barnby family!

We have added some optional learning activities and suggestions which you may want to use over the holidays to help your child be ready for September  (go to your child’s current year group). There is absolutely no pressure to complete these; they are just some ideas for parents/carers who may want some guidance. Don't forget the Summer Reading Challenge too!

We hope you all have a lovely Summer!

  • Summer Reading Challenge 📚

    Thu 16 Jul 2020

Sign up for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge; it is completely free and is a great way to keep children busy and develop their reading over the holidays! Children can access free eBooks to complete the challenge, or visit Newark library which has now reopened.

Children need to read at least 6 books over the summer to earn badges and a certificate. They can also play games and find some free activities on the website.

We’d love everyone to take part! 📖 📚

  • Pupil Council Welcome Back Posters

    Wed 01 Jul 2020

    Calling all Pupil Council representatives

        We Need You!

Just a reminder to finish off your 'welcome back' posters. We want to brighten up our school with your positive and welcoming messages for all to see so make sure you are apply your finishing touches and getting them ready.

We would like to have your posters by the 13th July so that we can get them ready for displaying in September. If your poster is electronic you can send it to the school office via email as soon as it's ready. If it is on paper or card then we recommend that you pop it in the post box attached to the fence at the front school.

We are so excited to see your posters and can't wait to see them displayed around school and on our website; giving everyone a warm welcome back to Barnby Road.
