We have updated our 'online learning' page to make it easier to access lots of different home learning, in a range of subjects. We hope you find it useful!
Read, Write, Inc. are releasing daily phonics videos for children to practise their sound knowledge. They have also released lots of other resources on the Oxford Owl website e.g. free e-books, speed sound practice sheets, speedy green word slideshows and ditty sheets.
Please use the following as a general guide as to which resources will be most useful for your child:
Reception:
-Set 1 and 2 speed sound video lessons
-Set 1 and 2 speed sound practice sheets
-Ditty sheets
-Speedy green slideshows for red, green and purple storybooks
-RWI e-books - red, green and purple stories.
Year 1 (and Year 2 children still accessing RWI):
-Set 2 and 3 speed sound video lessons
-Set 2 and 3 speed sound practice sheets
-Speedy green word slideshows for pink, orange, yellow, blue and grey storybooks
-RWI e-books - pink, orange, yellow, blue and grey storybooks (your child should be able to tell you their RWI group colour)
These all follow the scheme we use in school and the children will be familiar with these resources. We highly recommend using these at home whilst school is closed to continue the children's phonic learning.

Please try and log-in to these platforms, if you have not yet had a look. The teachers are also able to connect with children through Tapestry or the Purple Mash blogs; they are keen to keep in touch with their class! Thank you
From Monday 23rd March, Read, Write Inc. will be releasing daily phonics lessons on their Facebook page and YouTube channel for children to watch and learn at home. This is the programme we use in school and is the best way to continue your child's phonic learning at home. A new film will be added each weekday and will be available for 24 hours:
Speed Sounds Set 1 - 9.30am (Suitable for YR)
Speed Sounds Set 2 - 10.00am (Suitable for YR and Y1)
Speed Sounds Set 3 - 10.30am (Suitable for Y1 and Y2 children who are still learning through RWI)
There will also be a film of a teacher reading a poem for YR and Y1 at 2.00pm. Your child can enjoy watching, and joining in with, these poems over and over again. Why not learn them by heart!

Each weekday Gareth Metcalfe, a well-respected Maths specialist, will be posting video Maths lessons for Y3+4 and Y5+6 with follow up activities. There will also be a Y1+2 Maths activity video.

From 3.30pm today, school will be CLOSED. We have been busy sorting out childcare provision for essential key workers next week. Please DO NOT turn up on Monday unless you have spoken to office staff about your eligibility and childcare needs.
We will be running our childcare provision on a skeleton staff to ensure that as many staff as possible are able to stay safe at home. If you have spoken to office staff, and we are expecting your child, please go to the Y3 classrooms located at the back of school when you arrive. Children will not need to be in uniform, as this is a childcare facility.
Please be aware that the school office and emails will be manned whilst we are providing childcare provision, so please contact us if you have any queries.
