• World Book Day 2025

  ‘Quest’ by Aaron Becker was our chosen book for World Book Day this year.

  As a whole school, we followed the illustrated story of a quest to find 6 powerful crayons that have the ability to make any drawing come to life! 
  Each year group completed an English and an art task focused on a different aspect of the story. 
  The children shared their creations during our celebration assembly this afternoon and their brilliant work will be displayed through the school.

• Visit from the brass quintet of the Royal Air Force Cranwell.

  We were delighted to have a visit from the brass quintet of the RAF Cranwell on Friday 7th February. They performed an impressive concert to the whole school- playing pieces from Indiana Jones to Bluey! The children all loved listening and clapping along.

• Mayor of Newark visits Senior Choir

  The Mayor of Newark, Diane Ledger, popped into the Senior choir rehearsal this morning to deliver some chocolates! These are normally handed out to the choir after the switching-on of the Christmas lights, but as the event was cancelled (twice!) she kindly brought them into school today! A big thank you to the Mayor from our Senior choir.
